I am pretty sure that Abel has written this song for Selena(and not Hadid). At 2:01 The girl has dressed up as Selena from her song 'Dance Again'. Now, at 2:25 , The lights go out on purpose so that the gun is in the hand of Selena and, at 2:43 She shoots him as if she broke up with him but, in reality, it was Abel whi was trying to break up, but everyone eventually thought that it was Selena who broke up with him.
So, According to me, Abel is trying to portray his mistakes and as well as Selena's mistake.

THE MEANING OF THIS VIDEO IN 7 USEFUL STEPS:
